My french is still pretty lame when it comes to speak it. Even after 6 years spent to study it. But I can read it or understand when others talk.

Rather simplifies it XD is the exact term.

It is more the patois in certain region that complicates the thing, since more does not speak it XD.

The French "real" is complicated and boring to learn even for a French XD.

But the French spoken by the French (people) is not complicated.
